Acclimatizing the planks
We set our LRVF planks aside for 48 hours prior to the installation in normal household temperatures to ensure the perfect fit. We always take care to store and transport the LRVF on a flat and dry surface so our planks have the best quality.

Levelling
the subfloor
We carefully check the subfloor for any deformations, ensuring it is flat and even. Any unevenness of more than 1 mm over a length of 20cm or 2mm across 1m must be levelled so your new Ecopluz floor will be perfect.

Filling the gaps
Any grout lines or gaps of more than 1 mm in depth and 4 mm in width should be filled in which can be done with filler compounds.

Inspecting the LRVF
We always double check our planks. Each plank must be inspected for damage, defects, and also so the colour a perfect match before and during installation. We won't allow defective planks to be used or provided to any of our customers.

Cleaning the floor
The subfloor must be clean and dry. We'll vacuum the floor and give it a thorough clean so its ready for your new LRVF planks.
Cement subfloors

We check the moisture content of the subfloor so it is less than 6%MC and the pH level is between 7-10 for concrete.
Installation
1.
Once we have completed the preparation, the floors should be nice and clean and even. A clear space ready for the vinyl planks.

2.
Now to choose your starting wall. Usually placing the planks in the direction of the longest wall or parallel to the windows provides the best look. We place the first plank in the left corner of the room to begin the first row. Cutting off the tongues on the long side of the planks used in the first row so the planks can be flush with the wall.
3.
We'll place several spacers to maintain a 2-5mm expansion gap around the walls of the room. Then we lock the short ends together to complete your first row. The planks can be cut with a using a utility knife as necessary to fit the space. When cutting the vinyl plank, we make a firm score along the surface so the plank breaks off below the cut.

4.
There are many figurations for how to layout your floor but the most common is a staggered pattern. For this pattern the second row begins with a cut-off that is more than 30cm. Inserting the long tongue into the groove of the plank in the first row at an angle of 30° and rotating down. Moving the plank slightly up and down while pushing forward will cause the planks to lock together.
5.
To install the following planks of each row, we first lock the short tongue of the plank into the row we are working on. Then aligning the long tongue over the groove of the previous row and firmly pressing it into the groove beginning from the short tongue. Finally tapping the end joint towards the other planks ensure a tight fit.

6.
As we work across the room, we check for the alignment of the planks regularly that they are straight.
7.

A final inspection of the surface of the new floor is done before the skirting. To install the skirting, place it over the expansion gap, fastening them to the wall only. If the wall doesn't allow us to fill the expansion gaps with skirting then we use an elastic filler.
8.

To protect all exposed edges of the floor that are not next to a wall (like doorways) then a transition strip is used. Beneath the strip, we leave a minimum expansion gap of 3-5mm between the two surfaces.

Care and maintenance
관리 및 유지 보수

A simple sweep or vacuum of the floor with a soft broom will remove all dirt and grit. No need use a beater-bar vacuum cleaner or steam cleaner on your vinyl floor.

A damp-mop can be use to soak up any spills. A solution of clean water and hard surface cleaner will leave your new floors cleanest. Scouring pads, powder abrasive cleaners, bleach or strong detergents should be avoided.

Be careful of rubber feet on furniture or bicycle tires as they may cause staining. To avoid these, you can use an offcut of the vinyl floor or felt pads.
As with all floors, its important to remember to lift and carry any furniture you want to move around.

To get the longest use out of your LRVF, seats with soft wheels are preferable. If you don't have soft wheels then a protector mat can be used instead.

Natural fibre mats and rugs combine best with our flooring. Some artificial materials might cause stains.

If you are worried about indentation marks from heavy objects then you can place a hardboard sheet or castor cups under pressure points.
